Whether you’re an exhibitor or an attendee, the SEMA experience can be overwhelming and daunting even for returnees. You can maximize your time with just a few simple tips and strategies.
Make a plan.
Just going in and “browsing” is not recommended. Know who you want to see and why. Have questions ready if necessary. This is helpful for exhibitors as well. You want your target audience to have done their homework. That way you know your connecting with the right attendees.
Book some meeting space.
SEMA has a members lounge in the North and South sections of the exhibition. It’s free and available for any exhibitor. It can be difficult to have a sit down in the middle of the expo. If there’s a business or group you know you want to network with then you need the proper space.
Sometimes networking happens organically. Don’t be so focused on your own agenda that you might miss the natural opportunities that come up. Start a conversation by the vending machines or on the line to the bathroom. Whatever “free” time you have, be open to talking to anyone. Sometimes the best connections are the ones you weren’t looking for.

Some of our Original Woolies distributors are also attending SEMA. Be sure to stop and say hello!
