There are a million and one ways to protect your vehicle from scratches. The most popular seems to be the wrap. The wrap comes in many forms; heat, titanium, exhaust, there are many to choose from, but here’s the thing…wraps are not necessarily the way to go. They can be difficult to apply, even for the professionals and the coating can yellow over time. If an area of the wrap gets damaged then the whole thing needs to be removed and replaced, which can be very costly.
By contrast a ceramic coating is easier to apply, lasts longer, and can be easily touched up without having to re-coat the entire surface. But there are a few tips to make sure you get the most out of your ceramic coating.
Make sure you use a 9H coating, this will give your car better resistance to minor scratches and chemical damage. According to Adam Pitale, founder and chief detailer at Adam’s Polishes, the trick is really in the application process. Check out his video, we love how excited he gets when he sees the shine and luster after the first application.
